The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo says the local government has been liberated from those who once thought it was their private estate.
Ihunwo, said this during the monthly prayer session of Rivers Women Unite for Sim in Woji community town hall, Obio-Akpor local government area on Thursday.
He promised to sustain the support of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for eight years, and revealed that no amount of intimidation, threat will make him surrender his support for the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
“This State belongs to us, we must ensure we support the Governor of Rivers State. One man can’t cage our State, we must resist him…. I owe nobody any apology for supporting the governor. We have done our tenure for eight years, Governor Fubara will be Governor for eight years. Nobody can intimidate me, no amount of threat that will make me surrender. Our local government has been liberated from those who don’t mean well for us,” he said.
