The Rivers State Government says the 2025 budget will be higher than that of 2024 to help combat unemployment and deliver the dividends of democracy to Rivers people.
The State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Peter Medee disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to him, the budget will focus on creating employment, agriculture, health among others.
Meede who also reacted to the ruling of the Appeal Court directing Gov. Sim Fubara to re-present the budget, stated that it has been enacted into law as anyone contesting it is wasting his/her time.
He added that the budget has been signed by the Governor and that not even the Supreme Court can reverse it.
