Former Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Engr. Tele Ikuru has said that the political crisis in Rivers State is driven by cultism.
Ikurux in a statement blamed a former governor of the state for the crisis rocking the state, accusing him of imposing a cultic stranglehold on the state.
The statement read,
RIVERS’ POLITICAL CRISIS DRIVEN BY CULTISM
Rivers State has seen a disturbing shift in its political landscape, driven by the rise of cultism within its governance. This shift began when a gubernatorial candidate, notorious for cultism and diabolic practices, gained power through a campaign that misled the public about his true nature. Once in office, he imposed a cultic stranglehold on the state.
The cultism/diabolic Governor persisted in power for eight years and brought fear, division, and underdevelopment. Opposition figures were targeted, their businesses bombed, and their lives threatened. Recently, this violence has resurfaced, most notably with the bombing of the Action People’s Party (APP) secretariat, signalling a return to the dark days when cultism reigned supreme in our Government House.
Despite the horror and silence that have allowed this crisis to persevere, there is hope. The people of Rivers State, in collaboration with their God-fearing and liberator governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, are determined to break free from the shackles of cultism. Together, Rivers’ People have rejected this destructive system. We Stand with Gov. Fubara for transparency, accountability, and the restoration of peace and progress to our state.
For the Demon of Destruction (DoD) and your diabolic oat-taking associates, your days are over. Even Abuja has discovered you and will soon evict you to your proper place in history.
