Rivers State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb. Chijioke Ihunwo has called on Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly – Hon. Martin Amaewhule to apologize to people of the state for moving a motion to impeach Gov. Sim Fubara.
Speaking, during a rally in support of the governor at the weekend, Ihunwo said Amaewhule must apologize for trying to illegally remove a sitting governor.
According to him, the governor did nothing wrong to warrant his attempted removal from office, adding that the assembly members only acted to please a certain individual.
He reiterated his support for the state governor and called on Rivers people to stand by him as he is committed to delivering the dividends of democracy.
He also commended Gov. Fubara for standing by Rivers people despite threats and intimidation.
