Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says the 2027 general elections in the State will not be like the LG elections where they allowed the governor to take result sheets to Government House to declare results.

Speaking, at a reception he hosted for Martin Amaewhule and other lawmakers in Port Harcourt at the weekend, Wike said the PDP did not participate in the election because they already knew the outcome as the state government did not follow due process.

He wondered why the governor and his team were boasting about the election when they only allowed them to rig the process.

He also said, he has no regrets supporting President, Tinubu adding that he stopped injustice by not supporting Atiku Abubakar.

Wike further took a swipe at Atiku Abubakar for saying that Rivers people have rejected him, stating that he has also been rejected by Nigerians after his defeat.
