Calister Ogiri – mother of a 27-year-old man – Onyekachi Ogiri who was reportedly shot dead during a protest last year in Port Harcourt, is appealing to the Police to release his body to her for burial
Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt on Thursday, Mrs Ogiri said she has a video of her son lying in the poll of his own blood.
According to her, all efforts to get the Police to release the body of the deceased have proved abortive.
She also appealed to the state governor, Sim Fubara to assist her financially as things have been difficult since the death of Onyekachi – whom she described as the breadwinner of the family.
Meanwhile, the Police had in a statement denied that anyone was shot during the protest at the residence of Hon. Martin Amaewhule over alleged plot to impeach the state governor.
