Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara says he is concerned that President, Bola Tinubu made mention of his name in his statement calling on political leaders in the State to exercise restraint and uphold the rule of law.
Speaking on Channel TV “Politics Today” Gov Fubara said everyone knows where the issues are coming from, as it is not from him.
According to him, there is nothing he has not done for the restoration of peace in the State, as he is willing to do anything to ensure peace returns to the state.
He also said miscreants took advantage of the complete withdrawal of Police officers from the council Secretariats to launch attack, stating that he never supported the total withdrawal of Police officers from the councils.
The governor noted that so many persons are not aware of his policies and programmes in the state due to the crises.
He called on security agencies to ensure the protection of public facilities and also provide security to the newly elected chairmen to carryout their constitution duties.
As you may know council Secretariats across the state were today, attacked following the withdrawal of Police officers who have been guarding them from attacks.
