The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) has accused the Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara of bribing judges in the State to obtain fraudulent judgments.
Convener of NDC, Okwa Dan who made the allegation at a press briefing on Thursday, also accused Gov. Fubara of being on a mission to weaken the people’s will, and elections in the state.
He called on International Communities to impose visa ban on Fubara and judges accused of undermining the rule of law.
Dan also called on civil society organizations and well-meaning Nigerians to ensure the restoration of democracy in the State.
He said,“Governor Fubara has been on a mission to weaken the people’s will, influence elections, and bribe judges in Rivers State.”
We call on the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and EU nations to impose visa bans on Governor Fubara, Oko-Jumbo, and their allies. Such actions will send a clear message against undemocratic practices,” the group stated.
“This is a call to save democracy from devourers and unpatriotic individuals. The judiciary must uphold its sacred duty as the custodian of justice.”
