The RIvers State Commissioner of Police, Friday Ebuka has ordered the immediate release of a 200 level student of the Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, arrested by her lecturer, for allegedly duping him.
The student, was accused by the lecturer of duping him the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira.
The CP, also ordered for proper investigation into the matter.
But, the student had in a statement denied the allegation, adding that she never carried out any business transaction with him.
She accused the lecturer of ordering for her arrest and falsely accusing her because she turned down his marriage proposal.
