The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday has ordered an investigation into cell break in Okrika Police Divisional Headquarters, on Wednesday.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
She also said the CP ordered that any officer found culpable be dealt with.
A suspect, Robinson Michael who was arrested for allegedly raping a little girl reportedly escaped following the cell break.
Three other suspects are said to have also escaped from detention after the incident.
Mother of the teenager, Grace Charles has called on the Commissioner of Police and other Human Rights Organization to ensure the suspect is rearrested.
One Hezekiah Theophilus who reported the cell break, said officers at the station told him that the suspects escaped a day to their transfer to the state Criminal Investigative Department.
