A Rivers State High Court has ordered the Independent Electoral Commission, to go ahead with the planned October 5th, 2024 local government election in line with the ruling of the Supreme Court on July 11th, 2024.
Justice IPC Igwe in his ruling ordered the Police, DSS, NSCDC, and all other security agencies to provide security before, during and after the elections.
