A bench warrant has been issued on former governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Amaechi, former Commissioner for Energy, Augustine Wokocha and APC Governorship Candidate, Tonye Cole by a State High Court in Port Harcourt.
A bench warrant was also issued on Cenpropsaroten Management Limited, Sahara Energy Resources Limited, Chamberlain Peterside and NG powers HPS Limited by the trial Judge, Justice Chinwendu Nwogu, over failure to appear before the court on criminal charges against them by the Rivers State Government.
Recall that the Rivers State Government had filed a fresh criminal lawsuit on misappropriation of public funds against Amaechi, Wokocha and Cole after withdrawing its earlier suit.
The matter was adjourned the matter to July 5th for the plea.
Amaechi, Cole, and Augustine are yet to react to the ruling of the court
