Ogbogoro community in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State has banned the operations of tricycles in the area following a dispute with tricycle operators.
The leadership of the community made the announcement in a statement Today.
They said tricycles will be replaced with mini buses.
We gathered that tricycle operators this morning halted operations in the area after the community insisted they purchased tickets.
Some of the drivers who spoke to journalists said they refused to buy the tickets and would not buy, until the dead bodies of three of their colleagues killed by some members of the community were provided.
