Management of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, says it has set up a panel to investigate the rape allegation Involving a student and lecturer of the institution.
The School, in a statement on Tuesday, said the panel would discharge its duties without fear or favor to unravel what really transpired.
It also noted that the panel comprises of staff and students of the institution.
The suspect, a year one female student is accusing a lecturer and Head of Department of Dental and Surgery Technician, Princewill Chikakpobi of sexually assaulting her in his office.
The accused on his part had denied the allegations, stating that only God will vindicate him.
Meanwhile, family members of the victim said they have reported the matter to the Human Rights Desk of the Rivers State Police Command.
