The Rivers State Civil Society Organisation has issued a two-week ultimatum to the State Police Command to prosecute the Police officer involved in the killing of a tricycle operator in the state.
Chairman of RIVSCO, Enefaa Georgewill disclosed this in a statement yesterday in Port Harcourt.
He said it is worrisome that almost a week since the incident occurred, nothing has been done by the Police hierarchy to prosecute the alleged killer cop.
Enefaa Georgewill called on the Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan to equally ensure that all other Police officers accused of human rights abuses in the state are prosecuted.
He further called for a psychiatric test to be conducted on all mobile Police officers before they are given arms to go into the various communities and carry out their primary responsibilities.
