Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers state, Tonye Cole has promised to create about 230,000 jobs for youths of the state in his first 100 days in office.
Cole, who said this when he appeared on Channels TV on Monday, added that 10,000 jobs will be created in each local government area.
He also said outside of job creation is to create the right environment that will make jobs attractive for people who have the ideas to come into the state to develop.
Cole revealed that tax incentives, will be given around Certificate of Occupancy, adding that they have discovered that the State C of O is no longer accepted within banks because it had lost value.
His statement reads,
Within the first 100 days in office, one of the things that we have determined is that we will be creating at least, in each of the local government areas, we will be looking at 10,000 jobs that will be created almost immediately.
“But outside of that is creating the right environment that will then make jobs attractive for people who have the ideas to come into the state to develop and we have to do this in two ways.
