The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule, on Thursday, unveiled a book titled: ” Discipline, Civilisation and Politics ” authored by Prof. Eme Ndu.
The Speaker who was represented by his Parliamentary Secretary, Barr. Sampson Worlu, performed the unveiling in honour of the author who was being celebrated for his several decades of contributions to knowledge.
The event which was held under the distinguished chairmanship of Professor Emenike Wami, affirmed the significant contributions of Professor Ndu in the area of politics and governance; with emphasis on discipline, civilization, and their influence on the political landscape.
Commenting further, Rt. Hon. Amaewhule reaffirmed his commitment to fostering intellectual and scholarly discourse in political discipline and governance in Rivers State.
Expressing his gratitude for the support he received from the Speaker, the author, Professor Ndu commended the Speaker for his exemplary leadership style, and his commitment in representing the interest of his people; adding that the Speaker’s efforts in upholding discipline and promoting civilized discourse within the realm of politics is well acknowledged.
The book launch which was the highpoint of the send-off event attracted dignitaries from the academia, who expressed their appreciation for the invaluable insights Professor Ndu shared in his book; and celebrated his academic exploits over the years.
