The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Ikunyi Ibani has commended Governor Nyesom Wike over what he termed the judicious use of the budget passed by the state Assembly.
The Speaker made this known yesterday at the sitting of the House to mark the end of the first year of the ninth Assembly. Ikunyi who praised lawmakers and staff for their commitment and resilience noted that the house has passed 14 bills in its first year at the ninth Assembly.
The Speaker assured that the house will not relent in effective representation of Rivers people as lawmakers are committed to the course.
Leader of the House, Martin Amawhule in his remark said Rivers people should expect more from members of the house in the coming years. He commended the state governor for achievements recorded by his administration so far. Amawhule noted that under Gov. Wike the state is moving forward. The House adjourned sitting to the 9th of June 2020.
