The Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo-led Rivers State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Affairs, led by Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Adolphus Timothy Orubienimigha, conducted oversight visits to Gokana, Khana, and Tai Local Government Areas on Wednesday.

The committee met with the Executive Chairmen of the councils, including Chief Hon. Martins Nwrigbo (Gokana), Hon. Matthew Nenubari Dike (Khana), and Hon. Monday Dumiy (Tai), who provided updates on their administrative achievements and challenges since assuming office.

Rt. Hon. Orubienimigha highlighted the committee’s mission to evaluate governance effectiveness and ensure accountability in the management of council resources. He stressed the importance of transparency in local governance.

House Leader Hon. Sokari Goodboy reiterated the legal mandate for the oversight exercise and commended the chairmen for their efforts and leadership progress.

The committee’s visit underscores its commitment to fostering effective governance across the state’s local government councils.
