The Rivers State House of Assembly has presented a brand new 2025 Toyota Camry to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, as a token of appreciation.
The gift was presented during a reception organized in honour of the former Rivers State governor. Reports circulating on Facebook indicated that members of the Assembly jointly offered the vehicle to Wike to express their gratitude.
While some observers say the latest gesture reflects mutual appreciation and loyalty between political actors, others have expressed concerns about the timing of such gifts, particularly amid reports of unpaid pensions in the state.
Nonetheless, the presentation of the vehicle underscores the longstanding exchange of goodwill between Wike and the Rivers State legislature, highlighting what supporters describe as recognition of his contributions and influence in the state’s political landscape.
