Hon. Ben Golden Chioma who yesterday, boycotted the state Congress of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has said that another Congress would be held in the state.
Chioma, in a statement after the exercise, which was held at Polo Club in Port Harcourt, said there was no Congress.
He described what happened as a charade which cannot stand.
“There was no State congress in Rivers State yesterday. What happened was a charade. we will have a proper Congress,” he said.
Hon. Chioma who was vying for the Chairmanship seat of the party had accused some leaders of hijacking the process.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s Congress produced Chief Emeka Bekee as chairman after he polled the highest number of votes.
