The All Progressives Congress has reacted to the suspension of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi, Andrew Uchendu, Victor Giadom and some other members of the party by the Igo Aguma-led faction.
The party in a letter to Aguma yesterday, dismissed the suspension while stating that he has no such powers. This according to them is because he is not known by the party as its caretaker chairman.
In the letter, Aguma and his cohorts were warned to stop parading themselves as the authentic caretaker committee of the party.
It noted that Isaac Abbot Ogbogbula who was inaugurated by the National Working Committee of the party, remains the caretaker chairman of the party.
Aguma and his executives were also informed to stop impersonating the duly recognised executives, and stop causing disunity in the Rivers APC.
It also stated that a reconciliation committee headed by Chief John Odigie Oyegun has been set-up to reconcile members of the South-South region, and that aggrieved members should approach the committee and make their grievances known.
