The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, says it will appeal the ruling of a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt which nullified primaries of some of its House of Assembly candidates.
Counsel to the APC, Emenike Ebete and that of the candidates, Chimenem Jerome disclosed this shortly after the court ruling.
Also, Publicity Secretary of the party, Darlington Nwauju in a statement accused the Federal High court in the state of double standard.
He said the same court that struck out their suits against the PDP claiming that it has no jurisdiction to hear the matter went ahead to deliver judgement in a suit brought against the APC by the PDP.
He noted that there is a deliberate plot to stop other parties from contesting next year’s election to pave way for the victory of the PDP.
