The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has reacted to the defection of some of its members to the People’s Democratic Party.
The APC, in a statement shortly after a ceremony by the PDP to welcome the defectors, described it as a joke.
The party accused the PDP of exhuming those without value, labelling them APC members decamping to the PDP.
It described the welcoming party as a charade and big scam by the party to swindle Governor Nyesom Wike of tax payers money.
The statement advised APC members in the state not to be perturbed by the event, as the party is on course to takeover power in the state come 2023.
