The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has said that the defection of 17 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to the party was carried out in line with due process.
Factional chairman Tony Okocha disclosed this shortly after the lawmakers formally announced their move to the APC. He said the party at all levels was duly informed ahead of the defection.
Okocha explained that the lawmakers left their former party due to ongoing internal crises and assured that the APC would accord them full rights and privileges as bona fide members.
