The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has reacted to the defection of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche from its fold to the People’s Democratic Party.

Nwuche, over the weekend announced his defection to the PDP, during a ceremony in Port Harcourt, over the weekend.

However, Deputy Spokesperson of the party in the state, Darlington Nwauju in a statement today, described Nwuche’s defection as “inconsequential.”

He added that his defection is baseless, laughable and of no effect as the Ekpeye born politician was never an active member of the party.

“Chibudom Nwuche”s defection; baseless, laughable, inconsequential and of no effect,” he said.

Nwauju, noted that the party remains strong and united under its new leadership, as they are ready to takeover “Brick House” in 2023.
