Former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi says he will not beg any member of the All Progressives Congress who is leaving the party because he or she is hungry.
Amaechi, who made this know in a statement today, said anyone who is not satisfied with the leader he wants is free to leave the party.
He noted that some persons left the party, because of money and not because they were not satisfied with the leadership of the party.
He urged party members to get ready for the elections, adding that the president would sign the Electoral Act Amendment bill when the direct primaries clause is removed.
“If you are not satisfied with the leader I want, you can leave. If you are leaving because you’re hungry, I will not beg you,” he said.
“The President will sign the Electoral Act amendment bill when the direct primaries clause is removed. Go to your units. We will battle them this time around,” he added.
