Arch. Tonye Cole has been endorsed by the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, as its governorship candidate in the 2023 governorship elections.
It was gathered that Tonye Cole was adopted following a meeting with other aspirants on Friday night.
One of the aspirants, Prince Tonye Princewill confirmed the development in a statement yesterday.
He revealed that the decision was reached by other aspirants, and has nothing to do with the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
Meanwhile, a faction of the Rivers APC loyal to Magnus Abe has described Tonye Cole’s endorsement as “selfishness.”
