The Emeka Beke-led All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has described Saturday’s Congress by the Tony Okocha faction as a “kangaroo Congress.”
Beke who had urged party faithfuls to boycott the Congress, in a statement said the court order which reinstated him and sacked Okocha as Chairman is yet to be vacated.
According to him, he remains the authentic chairman of the party, and that his tenure ends in 2025.
He accused the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje and Okocha of holding a secret Congress in disobedience to the court ruling reinstating his executives.
As you may know the Okocha-led APC held its ward Congress across the 319 wards of the state on Saturday.
