A frontline Chairmanship hopeful in Saturday’s state Congress of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Chief Emeka Bekee has denied reports making the rounds that he has been endorsed by leader of the party, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi.
Bekee in a statement Today, said he would not have been going round lobbying delegates to vote for him if he had been endorsed by the Hon Minister of Transportation.
According to him his priorities are to reconcile aggrieved members and ensure the party wins the 2023 Governorship election in the state, if elected.
“The interest is for us to put the party together and win the 2023 general elections; I can assure that APC will win 2023 election in Rivers State,” he said.
“I want to work with every member of APC in Rivers State, genuine members, not those who are not genuine members of the party…not those that tomorrow you’re in APC in the morning; in the night you’re in PDP,” he added.
