Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has refuted recent allegations and media propaganda targeted at former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, over his involvement in a new opposition movement expected to challenge President Bola Tinubu’s administration in 2027.
Eze described the negative reports and blackmail campaigns as distractions engineered by “serial political jobbers” threatened by Amaechi’s growing popularity. He stated that Amaechi remains committed to inclusive and democratic leadership, noting that his political team is open to reconciling with former allies regardless of past disagreements.
“Amaechi has a large heart and, as always, is willing to welcome back those who strayed but are ready to return,” Eze said.
He also criticised infrastructure projects under the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration—such as luxury buildings for judges and INEC headquarters—as wasteful spending meant to curry favour with key institutions ahead of the 2027 elections.
Calling on Nigerians to ignore blackmail and remain resolute, Eze urged supporters of the new coalition to stay focused, peaceful, and prayerful in their quest for meaningful political change.
