The Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers state, Hon. Erastus C. Awortu has presented official cars to his Vice, Chief of Staff and the Councillor representing Ward 5 in the Andoni Legislative Assembly as replacement for their vehicles involved in a road accident.
According to Anolga Media, Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Tema Christopher and the Chief of Staff Hon. Talick Dandison received Sport Utility Vehicles while the Councillor representing Ward 5 Ikuru Town Hon. Gogo Ikuru received a Hyundai car.
Leader of the 9th Legislative Assembly of Andoni Local Government Rt. Hon. Sheila Nte Jacob who performed the official handover of the three cars to the beneficiaries at the Council Headquarters in Ngo described the gesture as a charitable act from a selfless Leader.
It would be recall that the Andoni Council Chairman had on assumption of office in 2021 presented cars to his Vice, all Councillors of the 9th Legislative Assembly of Andoni Local Government and key political appointees for ease of mobility difficulties and to enhance their productivity.
However, two of the cars belonging to the Vice Chairman and the Councillor who are both from Ward 5 were involved in road accident damaging beyond repair.
