The Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, in Rivers State has dissociated itself from the planned Nationwide Protest.
Chairman of ALGON, Ezebunwo Ichemati during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Friday described those behind the planned protest as faceless individuals.
According to him, they are in support of efforts of the state and federal governments in cushioning the effect of the current hardship in the country.
He also condemned alleged attacks on the CTC Chairmen of Ikwerre and Obio/Akpor councils few days ago, accusing the Police of bias.
