The African Democratic Congress in Rivers State, has suspended its Chairman, Amb. Solebari Samson with immediate effect, for endorsing the just concluded Local Government Elections in the state.
The party in a statement on Wednesday, said endorsing the LG election, was not the position of the party, as the election was neither free, fair nor credible.
The party, ordered its deputy chairman in the state, Ode Lawrence to takeover as chairman, pending the conclusion of its investigation.
The party also accused Amb. Samson of personally feuding two of its Chairmanship candidates, who later decamped to the PDP on the eve of the election.
The ADC, accused the state electoral umpire of rigging the elections in favor of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, which won all chairmanship and councilorship seats.
It called on aggrieved members of the party to be patient and wait for directive from the leadership of the party.
