Engr. Biokpomabo Awara, the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), in the 2019 governorship election in Rivers State, has dumped his party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Awara disclosed this in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt on Friday.
The first runner up in the 2019 election said he decided to join the APC, because it is the only hope of Rivers people, since the state is no longer working under the current administration.
He urged his supporters to join him in his new party and continue to support the APC in its effort to make the state work again.
“I am joining forces with the APC to bring Rivers State back on [the] developmental track. I decided it was time to join the people who actually gave me hope, and to make Rivers State work again,” he said.
