Chairman of the South South Youth Initiative, comr. Saviour Imeabe says Rivers youths are no longer interested in the 5000 jobs, and are now demanding for 60,000 jobs from the Rivers State Government.
Imeabe, said this in a statement in reaction to claims by Chijioke Ihunwo, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Rivers State that the state government would in no time fulfil its promise.
According to imeabe, SSYI is ready for demonstration to press home their demands.
“Mr Chijioke Ihunwo Tell who ever send you that we are no longer interested in 5000 jobs that we are now demanding for 60,000 jobs. we are ready for demonstration.wait for the date,” he said.
Ihunwo, had during a press briefing yesterday, called on Rivers youths to be patient with the state government over the 5000 jobs promised by Gov. Wike.
He noted that the governor had assured him that the employment would be done before the general elections.
