The campaign council of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State has revealed that political parties and their candidates have been endorsing Sen. Magnus Abe ahead of next year’s guber election in the state.
Spokesperson of the council, Dr. Bethel Okojaja disclosed this in a statement while reacting to the endorsement of Abe by Dr. Douglas Fagbeke, Labour party’s Senatorial candidate for Rivers South East.
According to him, Fagbeke endorsed Abe out of goodwill after seeing that he is the most outstanding guber candidate in the state.
Okojaja also reacted to statements by National Vice chairman of the Labour party in South South, Reuben Favour that Abe failed to attract a single project to the Rivers South East senatorial district.
Mr. Reuben had said this while reacting to the endorsement of Abe by Fagbeke.
Dr. Jaja described the claim as false, adding that Abe attracted a lot of projects to the district and even to the ward of Favour Reuben.
He revealed that a water project was sited in the ward of Mr Reuben, construction of major roads in several communities and the Oyorokoto national grid while Abe held sway as Commissioner amongst others.
He described Abe as a tested leader who has what it takes to transform Rivers State.
