The Judiciary in Rivers State has declared Today, a work-free day.
The Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Simeon C. Amadi in a statement by the Registrar of the High Court, David D. Ihua-Maduenyi issued yesterday and addressed to all Hon. Judges of High Court, Customary Court Of Appeal, All Learned Magistrates and All Staff said the above decision is in view of the fact that Police orderlies of the judges and court duty Police officers, had been withdrawn and posted for election duty.
The statement which was sighted by our reporter also cited the current cash crunch and difficulties faced by staff to get access cash as another reason for the directive.
