The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Rivers State, has vowed to strictly comply with the electoral act in this saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
Spokesperson of the commission, Geraldine Ekelemo said this while addressing Rivers women who protested to the office of the commission along Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Today, demanding free and fair elections.
The women, led by BBNaija reality star Tacha carried placards with inscriptions like “INEC Rivers State is Not For Sale, “We Are Watching You, “INEC, Retrace Your Steps Now.”
Meanwhile, the commission has commenced the distribution of materials to various LGA’s in the state in preparation for the elections.
