Traders at the Ikoku spare parts market say they will vote for governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in this saturday’s election.
The traders made this known when Abe visited them at the market on Monday.
They declared that Abe is the best candidate in the race, stating that they since started active mobilization of the Igbos to cast their vote in bloc for the SDP.
Abe on his part, said he will create a business advisory council, peopled by real representatives of all businesses in the state where a review of challenges facing business will be discussed and solutions provided on monthly basis.
He also said as Governor he would not waste tax-payers money on jamboree trips to Europe and America pretending to look for investors while those who have already invested their money in Rivers State languish with no attention from the government.
Abe stated that his first task will be to ensure that all those who have invested in Rivers State State find the enabling environment to prosper their businesses. “When others see that businesses are working in the state and people are making money, others from far and near will troop in to invest,” he said.
