Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted Hon. Chukwudi Ogbonna, Accord party, House of Assembly candidate for Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni constituency 2, Rivers State.
Sources say Chukwudi was abducted last night at the Rumuigbo axis of Obio/Akpor LGA at about 8:30pm.
A brother to the abducted Assembly candidate in a statement said he believed the abduction was politically motivated and called for his unconditional release.
He also said the matter has been reported to the Police.
