The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN in Rivers state have reportedly endorsed governorship candidate of the APC, Tonye Cole.
Cole, made this known in a statement on Thursday, shortly after he was endorsed by the African Democratic Congress in the state.
According to him, the endorsement is a testament to the fact that the vision to restore the dignity of Rivers people and build a state everybody is proud of, is supported by the church.
“I want to appreciate the leadership of the Rivers State chapters of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) for officially endorsing my candidacy ahead of the elections on Saturday,” he said.
“This is a testament to the fact that our vision to restore the dignity of the people and build a Rivers State that we are all proud of, is accepted and supported by the Church, and many others..Our victory is at hand, my people! No shaking,” he added.
