A 17-year-old boy, Noble Uzuchi has been arrested by the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly impregnating 10 ladies.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command who disclosed this in a statement Today, said the suspect was arrested alongside his accomplice, Chigozie Ogbonna in Obio Akpor local government area of the state.
She said the duo were operating a baby factory where they pay the women N500,000 and thereafter sell the new born babies.
She also said 10 ladies were rescued from the factory.
“On Saturday, January 7, 2023, around 4.45pm, while acting on credible intelligence available to the Rivers State Police Command, C4I Intelligence Unit operatives raided two houses at Igwuruta and Omagwa communities respectively, where victims of child trafficking were being kept,” he said.
“The victims rescued in the operation are 10, most of them pregnant,” he added.
