The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations has called on the state Police Commissioner to ensure the arrest of the killers of three Police escorts along the Rumuokoro flyover bridge.
Chairman of RIVCSO in the state, Enefaa Georgewill in a statement on Monday, said the Police need to do everything within its power to arrest and prosecute the suspects.
Recall that three Police officers were gunned down at the bridge few days ago while escorting the Managing Director of IGPES Oil and Gas Company, Seni Awosike before whisking him away.
The Rivers state Police Command had in a statement said it is investigating the incident.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Iringi-Koko in a statement said efforts are on to arrest the fleeing gunmen and rescue the victim.
