Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organization, Enefaa Georgewill has said that days to come will determine whether or not the new Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA, Hon. George Ariolu has the political will to end illegal Taskforce force in the LGA.
Georgewill, in a statement on Saturday, said time will tell if the council Boss is serious about ending the menace or if it is what he described as the usual initial ‘Gragra’ associated with new office holders.
He listed four things the newly elected chairman must do to end illegal Taskforce in the LGA, if he is truly serious about it.
Enefaa said, he must: “Trace the head of the notorious illegal task force. He is popularly known as Julius.
“Send under cover officials to drive through Ada George, Rumuokoro, Rumudumaya, Nta/Ozuoba/Choba, Eliozu and Garrison. If done routinely in one week, all the operators of the Illegal Task Force will be caught.
“Close their illegal car dump sites at Eligbolo/Eliozu,Waterlines,Obiri Ikwerre Bridge,Rumuodumaya and other small parks littered across the LGA.
“Diligent prosecution ot all offenders.
