The Rivers State Civil Society Organization, RIVCSO, will today, hold a peaceful March to call for the exoneration of late environmental activist, Ken Saro-wiwa and eight others killed during the military dictatorship of General Sani Abacha.
The event, according to Chairman of RIVCSO, Enefaa Georgewill will hold at the Isaac Boro Park to Aggrey Road, by 12:00 PM.
He called on sons and daughters of Ogoni land and other well-meaning residents to join the peaceful demonstration.
He stated that the demonstration has no political undertone as everyone is free to participate.
You would recall that President, Buhari had few weeks promised to grant presidential pardon to Ken Saro-wiwa when a delegation of Ogoni leaders paid him a courtesy visit at Aso Rock.
