Following the electrocution of nine persons in Rivers State, while mounting a billboard, the Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency, RISAA, has called on business owners in the state to seek approval of the body before mounting billboards.
Acting Managing Director of RISAA, Mr. Anthony in a statement said only the agency gives approval for the installation of billboards and Signages.
He said anyone caught violating the law will be arrested and prosecuted inline with the laws of the land.
Recall that nine businessmen were electrocuted while mounting a billboard after it came in contact with a high tension pole at the choba axis of Port Harcourt.
Five of them died on the spot while the other four are currently hospitalized.
