The Rivers State Internal Revenue Service, RiRS, says it would stop the manual collection of taxes from January next year.
Executive Chairman of RIRS, Hon. Chibeoso Aholu made this known in a statement during the launch of a USSD code for online payment of taxes.
According to him, business owners would be able to pay taxes from their homes and offices, adding that the initiative will put an end to touting.
