Rivers State Prohibition of the Curtailment of the Rights of Women to Share in Family Property Bill, 2022 has been passed by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

This is what we want and have advocated for, a society where women and men can inherit without discrimination. A society where there is gender parity, where no one is marginalized on account of their gender.

All we are waiting for now is our “He for She” Governor’s assent and we know he will do so soon.

Thank you Hon. Michael Chinda (Obio/Akpor State Constituency II) for sponsoring this Bill.
