Rights activist Omoyele Sowore has expressed strong opposition to the court-ordered detention of Linus Williams Ifejirika, also known as B-Lord, stating that no one should celebrate the incarceration of any individual under the guise of the law.
Sowore revealed that he has contacted his lawyer, Marshal D. F. Abubakar, urging him to disengage from the legal process surrounding the case.
He emphasized that sending B-Lord to prison should not be seen as a victory for legal prowess or advocacy, but rather as an act that risks strengthening a system that uses the law as a tool of oppression against citizens.
“Justice must never be reduced to punishment for its own sake,” Sowore said, adding that he will work to ensure the case is discontinued and that B-Lord is released without further delay.
